Precautions for Correct Use
• Check the event logs of the EtherCAT Slave Unit with the Sysmac Studio connected online to
the NJ-series CPU Unit that is mounted to the CPU Rack or an Expansion Rack given in the
following diagram.
The events of the EtherCAT Slave Unit are not notified to the NJ/NX-series CPU Unit via
EtherCAT communications.

• In the same way as for the event logs, check the error logs of the EtherCAT Slave Unit with
the Sysmac Studio connected online to the NJ-series CPU Unit that is mounted to the CPU
Rack or an Expansion Rack.
You cannot check the error logs of the EtherCAT Slave Unit via EtherCAT communications.
