5-5. Video Tracking Check and Adjustment
10. Tape rising pressure check (T side)
(1) Check that D109 LED on the SV-206 board
is not light.
(2) Play back the CR2-1B.
(3) Turn the upper flange of the T2 guide
counterclockwise using a tape guide adjust-
ment driver so that 0.5 or 1 peak levels are
appeared in an RF signal waveform as shown
in the figure. At that time, check the follow-
ings.
. Check that no clearance exists between the
upper flange of T2 guide and upper edge of
the tape.
. Check that the tape runs without contacting
the upper and lower flanges of the T4, T5,
and T6 guides.
If tape runs in contact with the upper or
lower flanges of the T4, T5, and T6 guides,
tape curl could not be acceptable.
. Check that clearance exists between the
flanges (upper and lower) of T7 guide and
the edges of the tape.
If they are not satisfied, perform the tape
running adjustment (refer to Section 5-4) and
video tracking adjustment (refer to steps 19
and later) to meet both specifications.
(4) Turn the upper flange of T2 guide clockwise
so that the RF signal waveform is almost flat.
(5) Turn off S100-3 switch on the SV-206 board.
11. PLAY mode
(1) Connect the oscilloscope.

Oscilloscope setting;
CH-1 : 50 mV/DIV
TIME : 2 ms/DIV
(2) Play back the CR2-1B.
(3) Press S101 switch on the SV-206 board more
than 3 seconds so that the tracking VR
becomes to be effective.
