The MAC address of the switch is read only and cannot be re-
configured.
Management Port Configuration
The Management Port Configuration menu allows you to select
Console or Out-of-Band management. The listed settings are
required for the terminal connection that allows the Switch to
communicate with a computer via the console port connected by an
RS-232 cable to a computer's serial port.
Network Configuration
Internet Protocol address, identifying the switch,
consisting of four numbers from 0 to 255, seperated
by periods.
This number together with the IP address identifies
the network your computer is On.
A gateway is a connection or interchange point that
connects two networks that would otherwise be
incompatable. For example, a local area network
(LAN) may need a gateway to connect it to a wide
area network (WAN) or to the internet.
