Example: Enabling VTP on the Interface

To enable VTP on the interface, use the vtp interface configuration command. To disable VTP on the interface,
use the no vtp interface configuration command.
Switch(config)# interface gigabitethernet 1/0/1
Switch(config-if)# vtp
Switch(config-if)# end
Example: Creating the VTP Password
The follow is an example of creating the VTP password.
Switch(config)# vtp password mypassword hidden
Generating the secret associated to the password.
Switch(config)# end
Switch# show vtp password
VTP password: 89914640C8D90868B6A0D8103847A733
