ADJUSTING THE CLUTCH CABLE FREE
PLAY
1. Measure:
S clutch cable free play a
Out of specification ! Adjust.
Clutch cable free play (at the end
of the clutch lever)

2. Adjust:
S clutch cable free play
Handlebar side
a. Pull the boot 1 off.
b. Loosen the locknut 2 .
c. Turn the adjusting bolt 3 in direction a or b
until the specified clutch cable free play is ob-
tained.

d. Tighten the locknut.
NOTE:
If the specified clutch cable free play cannot be
obtained on the handlebar side of the cable, use
the adjusting nut on the engine side.
e. Pull the boot 1 in.
Engine side
a. Loosen the locknut 4 .
b. Turn the adjusting bolt 5 in direction c or d
until the specified clutch cable free play is ob-
tained.
