The braking spring (1) prevents the bobbin running on when the
thread has been cut.

To set the hook thread tension:
1. Set the tension spring (2) using the adjusting screw (3).
• To increase the tension: Turn the adjusting screw (3)
clockwise
• To reduce the tension: Turn the adjusting screw (3)
counterclockwise
