Installing the ROPS
(TC models only)
Parts needed for this procedure:

Bolt, 1/2 inch
Procedure
1. Align each side of the ROPS with the mounting holes
on each side of the vehicle frame as shown in Figure 4.
2. Secure each side of the ROPS to frame with 3 bolts
(1/2 inch) and tighten them to 115 N-m (85 ft-lb).

If the battery is not filled with electrolyte or activated, it
must be removed from the vehicle, filled with electrolyte and

charged. Bulk electrolyte with 1.260 specific gravity can be
purchased from a local battery supply outlet.

DANGER
Battery electrolyte contains sulfuric acid which is a
deadly poison and causes severe burns.
• Do not drink electrolyte and avoid contact with
skin, eyes or clothing. Wear safety glasses to
shield your eyes and rubber gloves to protect
your hands.
• Fill the battery where clean water is always
available for flushing the skin.
1. Remove the battery cover from the battery case
(Figure 5).

2. Remove the battery from the battery case.
3. Remove the filler caps from the battery and slowly fill
each cell until electrolyte is just above the plates.
4. Replace the filler caps and connect a 3 to 4 amp battery
charger to the battery posts. Charge the battery at a
rate of 3 to 4 amperes for 4 to 8 hours.
