Multiple handset use
Call transfer using intercom
Using the telephone base:
1.
When on an outside call, press

Press
SELECT
If you have one handset and no other registered devices, the outside
call is put on hold and your telephone base displays Calling HANDSET.
The handset and displays BASE is calling.
If you have cordless headset(s)/speakerphone(s) or more than one
handset, your base displays INTERCOM TO: Use the dialing keys
to enter a specific handset number (1-9 for handsets 1-9, TONE
followed by 0-2 for handsets 10-12, # for a single cordless headset/
speakerphone, and # followed by 1 or 2 for cordless headset/
speakerphone 1 or cordless headset/speakerphone 2, respectively), or
press CID, DIR, /RECORD, or /DELETE to select a destination
handset, and then press
The call is automatically put on hold. Your telephone base screen displays
Calling HANDSET X. The destination device rings and displays BASE is calling.
3. To answer the intercom call on any destination handset, press
LINE 1/
FLASH
dialing key (0-9 or TONE ) on the destination handset. Both handsets and
the telephone base show Intercom and the outside call is still on hold.
4. From this intercom call, you have the following options:
You can transfer the call. Press

base. Your screen shows Call transferred. The other
handset automatically connects to the outside call.
You can let the other device join you on the outside
call in a 3-way conversation. Press
/RECORD, or /DELETE to highlight Share call, and press
You can end the intercom call and continue the outside call with your
telephone base. Press CANCEL, END, 1 LINE, 2 LINE, SPEAKER
CELL A
screen shows Intercom ended.
NOTES:
If you want to cancel an intercom call and reconnect to the outside call before the destination
handset answers, press CANCEL or
If the called device does not answer within 100 seconds, or it is in use, on a call, or out of
range, the initiating device shows No answer. Try again. and returns to the outside call.
