Compressor Mounting Bracket
Replacement (3.8L)
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the serpentine drive belt. Refer to Drive
Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector at the
AJC compressor.
3. Remove the negative battery cable nut from the
engine block stud.
4. Remove the negative battery cable from the stud.
5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting
and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
6. Remove the A/C compressor rear· bolts·(2, 3) ..
