Using EpsonNet NDPS Gateway

This section contains instructions on printing using Novell
Distributed Print Services
"NetWare Enterprise Print Services (NEPS)" for NetWare
4.11/4.2. Novell Distributed Print Services (NDPS) are new
generation print services for NetWare.
Note:
❏ NEPS is an optional package for NetWare offered by Novell.
❏ Banners cannot be printed with NDPS.
❏ The Status Monitor 3 utility cannot be used with NDPS.
❏ For detailed information about NDPS, see the Novell
documentation.
❏ You can install the EpsonNet NDPS Gateway from the software
CD-ROM. Open the NETUTIL folder, then ENGW, then
double-click edps21de.exe (this file name may be changed). For
detailed information about EpsonNet NDPS Gateway, see the
online guide in the software CD-ROM. Open the NETUTIL folder,
then ENGW, then double-click index.htm.
Make sure of the following points before starting;
❏ When you install NetWare 5, install "IPX" ("IP" is installed
by default).
❏ When you use the Internal Print Server with Bindery (either
in Print Server mode or Remote Printer mode), you need
PCONSOLE.EXE to create bindery objects such as Print
Server and Print Queue object. Since PCONSOLE.EXE does
not come with NetWare 5, you need to get the file from Novell.
