INALIZING THE
36DV-R
Attach the
faceplate with
the four screws
removed from
the set-up face.
Use the #3 square
driver included in
the ownerÕs pack.
8 Turn on the gas to the fireplace. Turn on gas to the heater. Leak test all gas joints prior to starting
the appliance. Start the pilot. Start the main burner. Leak test all gas joints again.
9 Check the pilot flame to make sure it looks like the illustration below. Adjust the pilot flame if
necessary.
The pilot flame should impinge the top 3/8Ó (10
mm) of the thermopile. If it does not, you may
need to turn the pilot up.

Attach the gold trim after the
faceplate is attached. Magnets hold
the pieces in place.
To adjust the pilot flame, remove the cover screw (and
gasket) and turn the needle valve. Clockwise lowers
the flame while counter-clockwise raises it.
