5 Connect the gas line. Use a 3/4" wrench to keep the fitting on the gas valve from rotating while
using a 7/8" wrench to screw in the flex tube connection.
! We recommend you purge the gas line at this time (with the glass removed). This allows gas to be
detected once it enters the firebox, ensuring gas does not build up.
6 Replace the glass (follow the directions under "Glass Installation and Removal" on page 20).
7 Install the faceplate (see the illustration below for 36DV-A, see the illustration on the following page
for the 36DV-R).

The faceplate
attachment
screws are
included with
the faceplate.

NSTALLATION
Slide the brass trim over the sides
and top of the faceplate. Make
sure the upper edges butt up
against each other. Tap in place
gently to secure.
Use the #3 square driver included with
the fireplace to tighten the screws
