4 Press the Å button.
• The Å A or Å B icon will flash quickly.
• Make sure the gray card or white object fills the screen until the procedure is completed.
• Once the icon stops flashing, the procedure is completed. The setting is retained even if you turn off the
camera.
• The custom white balance setting will appear on the bottom left corner of the screen. On the rear panel, the
Å A or Å B icon will be displayed but without the color temperature setting.

• Readjust the custom white balance if the light source or ND filter setting changes.
• Very rarely and depending on the light source, Å may keep flashing (it will change to a slow flashing). The
result will still be better than with the auto white balance.

Color Temperature/Preset White Balance

1 Press the WB button.
• The white balance mode icon will be highlighted in orange.
• You can also use the FUNC. button and joystick to enter the direct setting mode.
2 Push the joystick up/down or turn the SELECT dial to select the È icon (color temperature setting)
or the ¼ or É icon (preset white balance) and then press SET.
• Press SET to set the default color temperature or preset setting. To change the color temperature or
fine-tune the preset white balance settings, continue the procedure instead of pressing SET.
3 Press the Å button.
• You can also press the FUNC. button or push the joystick right.
• Color temperature: On the screen, the default color temperature value (5,500 K) next to the white balance
icon will be highlighted in orange. On the rear panel, only the È icon and 5,500 K will be displayed.
Preset white balance: On the screen, the adjustment value ±0 will appear next to the white balance icon,
highlighted in orange. On the rear panel, only the white balance icon and ±0 will be displayed.
4 Push the joystick up/down or turn the SELECT dial to change the adjustment value or color
temperature and then press SET.
• The selected adjustment value/color temperature will be set and will appear on the screen next to the white
balance icon. On the rear panel, all displays will reappear and the white balance icon will be displayed but
without the adjustment value or color temperature setting.
