Customizing Functions and Onscreen Displays
Customize the camera to match your shooting style and needs. Use the [
Function] settings to adjust how some of the camera's controls and functions operate. Similarly, use the

[¢ Picture/Terminals Setup] > [Custom Display 1] or [Custom Display 2] settings to customize the onscreen
displays that appear during recording.

Customizing Functions

The following table describes which functions can be customized using
[Custom Function].
Operating modes:
* Only [SELECT Dial Dir.] can be changed in this mode.
1 Open the [Custom Function] submenu.

Selects the function of the control dial on the camera.

Changes the direction of the adjustment when operating the control dial on the camera.

When an optional Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM or EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM lens is attached to the camera and the focus
mode switch on the lens is set to AF, if this setting is set to [On], the lens will retract fully when the camera is turned
off.
When using another C300 Mark II camera to shoot in 3D, this function corrects any lags in the video and audio
signals output from the REC OUT terminal or MON. terminal.
Inverts the recorded image horizontally and/or vertically.
Changes the distance units used in camera displays between meters and feet.
Selects the onscreen displays (date, time, time code, or a combination of them) that will be recorded with primary
clips on the CFast card exactly as they appear on the screen. Onscreen displays will not be recorded during slow &
fast motion recording mode.
Independently enables or disables the use of individual START/STOP buttons.
Selects whether to lock all buttons (including START/STOP buttons) or all buttons with the exception of currently
enabled START/STOP buttons) (A 55).
