10. Place a drop of light machine oil on the nose gear
wire where the nose wheel will rotate. Use two wheel collars
to attach the nose wheel to the nose gear. Use a 1.5mm hex
wrench to tighten the 3mm x 3mm setscrews after applying
threadlock to the setscrews.

1. Locate the items necessary to install the fixed
nose gear for your model. You will also need the retract
mechanisms as well as the associated hardware for
those retracts. You will also need the fuselage for this
installation.
2. Use 30-minute epoxy to glue the two 1/2 x 3/4 x
1
/
-inch (19mm x 13mm x 40mm) hardwood blocks to

the landing gear rails. Allow the epoxy to fully cure before
proceeding. Make sure to slide the hardwood blocks as far
forward as possible in the fuselage.
3. Place the retract mechanism on the retract rails.
Make sure to position the retract evenly on both rails. With
the retract slid as far forward as possible, use a pencil to
transfer the locations for the mounting screws onto the rails.
4. Use a drill and 3/32-inch (2.5mm) drill bit to drill the
holes for the mounting screws.
