trunion block as shown. Use a rotary tool and cutoff wheel to
trim the length of the strut.
12. Cut a 12-inch (304m) piece of airline and attach it to
the fitting on the retract air cylinder.
Note: We have used the brass pushrod connectors
to minimize the cables from stopping the gear from
extending due to the loop hanging up on the steering
arm during the operation of the nose gear retract.

13. Secure the nose gear assembly into the fuselage
using four #6 x 3/4-inch sheet metal screws. Tighten the
screws using a #2 Phillips screwdriver.
14. Use a drill and 3/16-inch (5mm) drill bit to enlarge
the hole in the wheel.
hint: Using a drill press for drilling these holes
is recommended so they are drilled straight through
the wheel.
15. Slide the axle through the hole in the wheel. Slide a
nylon spacer on the axle from the opposite side.
16. Slide the adapter on the axle. Use a felt-tipped pen
to mark the location for the setscrew and the outside edge
where the axle will need trimmed.
