Overview

This chapter describes how to expand your storage capacity by adding hard disk drives
or additional disk enclosures. Refer to Chapter 4 for information on adding a second
controller.

Adding Hard Disk Drives

Your disk array unit is equipped with 15 hot-swap hard disk drive bays providing an
expandable storage capacity. The unit comes with a minimum of three hard disk drives
installed in dedicated trays. Empty slots contain fully functional trays for installation of
additional hard disk drives.
This section provides instructions for installing additional hard disk drives.
