Installing other Media Modules

Combination Limitations

The G350 does not support all combinations of Media Modules. Before you insert other Media
Modules, review the following list for combination limitations.
The Avaya G350 Media Gateway does not support:
More than one MM710 media module.
More than one MM717 media module.
More than two of the following voice media modules in any combination: MM711 or
MM714.
More than two of the following WAN media modules in any combination: MM340 or
MM342.
More than three form factor voice media modules.

Inserting Media Modules

Media Modules are restricted to certain slots. Ensure that you insert each module in a slot
appropriate for that module. For a list of allowable slots for each Media Module, see Chapter 2
of Installation and Upgrades for the Avaya G350 Media Gateway, 03-300394.
Insert the Media Modules needed for your configuration.
Some Media Modules might require additional components. For example, the MM314 Media
Module requires a Gigabit Interface Connector (GBIC) to connect to the Gigabit Ethernet port.
