8- Camera Installation
1- Remove the Mounting Plate
The mounting plate for the camera is attached when shipped; this plate must be removed in order to mount the camera.
A.
Loosen the mounting plate screw; the screw will not come loose for the bottom camera plate.
B.
Slide the plate towards the rear of the camera.
C. Set the camera and the plate to the side.
2- Install the Mounting Plate
The mounting plate for the WPS-500-PTZ-IP is smaller than the camera body; keep this in mind when positioning the plate in
order to avoid the camera being too close to walls or other obstacles. Follow the steps installing the mounting plate carefully
so that the camera can be mounted to the plate correctly. Additional clearance is required to the rear of the camera for
connections and wiring.
A.
Determine the location for the camera.
B.
Position the plate on the surface the camera will be mounted, with the rear of the mounting plate 2.5in from the wall,
and the side(s) of the mounting plate .75in from the wall.
C. Mark the mounting hole locations for predrilling.
D. Pre drill the holes, plate the plate on the mounting surface, and install the screws to secure the plate.
