This way you can keep track of your computer's state at times when you like the way it is functioning or
before you make changes that may be risky. To do so:
1.
Open System Restore.
2.
Click Create a Restore Point on the System Restore welcome screen. Click Next.
3.
Type the Restore point description and click Create.
4.
When finished, a window is displayed showing the current date and time as well as the description
assigned to the restore point.
5.
Click Close or Home to go back to the System Restore welcome screen.
Restoring Your Computer to an Earlier Time
Caution:
Make sure all other programs are closed before launching System Restore.
1.
Open System Restore. see
2.
Click Restore my computer to an earlier time. This process will allow you to go back to a previous
state, recover all your personal data and is completely reversible. Click Next.
3.
Select an available date on the calendar.
4.
Select a restore point from the list available. Click Next.
5.
Read carefully the information displayed in red on the screen and click Next. The restoration process
is launched.
Note:
Please be patient during this process.
6.
A window is displayed informing you that the restoration is complete. Click OK to close the program.
Note:
If you are not satisfied with the restoration, go to the System restore welcome screen
and select:
Restore to another restore point
Undo my last restoration
Caution:
If you restore your computer to a point before a program was installed, that program
will no longer work after restoration. You will need to reinstall it. In the same way, System Restore
does not replace the process of uninstalling a program. To completely remove a program from your
computer, you need to use the Add or Remove Programs function by clicking on Start, Control
panel, Add or Remove Programs.

Undoing the Last Restoration

Caution:
Make sure all other programs are closed before launching System Restore.
If the computer fails after reverting to a certain date, you can undo the restoration. To do so:
1.
Open System Restore. See
2.
Select Undo my last restoration on the System Restore Welcome screen and click Next.
3.
The screen "Confirm Restoration Undo" is displayed.
4.
Read carefully the information displayed in red on the screen and click Next.
