7. REDUCTION AND ENLARGEMENT COPYING

There are three methods available for reduction and enlargement copying:
G
Using Automatic Magnification Selection (AMS) —After selecting the AMS mode and
the desired copy size, when you place an original on the glass or when an original is fed from
the original feed tray, the copier automatically detects the size of the original and calculates
the appropriate reproduction ratio, which matches the selected size of paper.

Specifying the original and copy sizes — When both the original and copy sizes are
specified, the copier automatically calculates the appropriate reproduction ratio.
G
Using the ZOOM keys — The ZOOM keys
reproduction ratio in the range of 50% ~ 200% at increments of 1%.

Select the copy size.
G Press the desired COPY-SIZE
or use the CASSETTE
Message Display panel to select it.
G You can also press the desired cassette
on the display to select it.
G The selected COPY-SIZE lamp comes
on.

Place the original(s).
G When the original is set on the glass,its
size is immediately detected by the copier
and the corresponding paper size is
shown on the message display. Besides,
any paper source containing that paper
size is shown highlighted.
