5. CLEAR PAPER
When a paper misfeed occurs in the machine,
the CLEAR PAPER
this message will appear:
PAPER MISFEED
IN COPIER
The CLEAR PAPER
different positions shown in the diagram
depending on where paper has misfed.
Remove the misfed paper as described below.

Open the front cover and the upper unit.
G See page 118 for opening the upper unit.

Remove the misfed paper.
Caution: Be careful not to touch the
drum.

When the misfed paper is pinched by the
rollers:
G Turn the jam-removal knob D in the
direction of the arrow to remove the paper.
