Assigning a Playback Group to a function key
Carry out the following procedure to assign a playback group to a function key if you
assigned the "Favorites" function to a function key in step 5 on page 14.

Select a playback group from the Library screen and press SUB
MENU. When the Sub Menu appears on the display, use u/d to
select "Set Favorites".

Press SELECT. When the Set Favorites screen appears on the
display, use u/d to select a target function key.

Press SELECT. When the MusicCAST server assigns the playback
group you selected in step 1 to the selected function key, use u/j/
d/i to select "OK".
The MusicCAST server assigns the playback group you selected in step 1 to the
selected function key.

Press SELECT.
The MusicCAST server saves the function key settings.
Assigning playback
groups
You can assign one of the
following groups to a function key
as a preset playback group.
• Artists
• Albums
• Genres
• All Songs
• Playlists
• Song Statistics (Times played,
Recently played songs)
• Bookmarks
• CD
• External Inputs
Sub Menu
"Set Favorites" is automatically
added to the Library Sub Menu
when you assign "Favorites" to a
function key.
Selecting function keys
You do not need to select a
function key if you have only
assigned one function key to the
Favorites function.
Checking contents
registered to the Favorite
function
The MusicCAST server displays
an icon ("F1", "F2", or "F3") next
to groups that have been
assigned to a function key.
Cancelling playback
group assignments
Carry out steps 1 and 2 of the
procedure on this page, and use
/ to select "Unregister".
