Exit tray 1 mechanism

• The exit tray 1 is moved up or down by drive from the lift motor and the exit tray sensor
detects if the paper is stacked on the exit tray 1.
• The exit tray home position sensor detects if the exit tray 1 is at its home position.
• If the paper is stacked on the exit tray 1, home position is at the top side of paper and if
not, the home position is at the edge of the exit tray 1.
• When the main power is turned ON, the exit tray 1 is returned to its home position by
drive of the lift motor.
• After the paper has exited from the finishing tray and has been stacked onto the exit tray
1, the exit tray1 is moved down by the lift motor driven for a given number of clock pulses.
• The clock pulse detection is generated with the lift motor clock sensor and the exit tray 1
is returned to its home position for the next stacking operation.
• The upper limit position of the exit tray 1 is detected with the lift upper limit sensor. When
the lift upper limit sensor is turned ON, (upward movement) drive from the lift motor is
stopped.
• The lower limit position of the exit tray 1 is detected with the lift lower limit sensor. When
the lift lower limit sensor is turned ON, (downward movement) drive from the lift motor is
stopped.
• The stack full sensor detects if an excessive amount of stacking is made due to the
height of the stacked paper of large sizes or of mixed sizes.
