*1: Some operations selected in the service mode (Paper path check etc.)
*2: During a print job, until the paper exit sensor detects a paper present condition, the fan
motor continues to rotate at half speed.
Half speed control: When switching from stop to half speed control, the fan will rotate at full
speed and then will rotate at half speed.
Control
• When the door is open
• In sleep
STOP
• When updating the firmware
• When a waste toner box, IU, or TC is not installed
• At paper-jam, in trouble
• In standby
• At warm-up, At fusing roller's preparatory rotation
• After the completion of a normal warm-up or high humidity
warm-up operation, half speed rotation is performed for 380
Half speed
seconds.
• If [Change WarmupTime] in the service mode is set to [Mode
2] or [Mode 3], half speed rotation is performed for 380 sec-
onds after the completion of a warm-up operation.
• At initial operation, image stabilization, function*1
• In low-power
• When printing
Full speed
Half speed rotation is performed when printing a single-

sided, plain paper job (including the second print cycle), or
when printing with the machine without a paper exit option.
