3. Remove the flywheel key from keyway.

Remove Ignition Module
1. Remove the two hex flange screws securing the
ignition module to the crankcase. See Figure 9-51.

Remove Stator and Protective Shield (If
So Equipped)
1. Remove the mounting screw and protective
shield over the stator leads. See Figure 9-52.
