Make sure the air filter is installed with its mesh

6. Install:
Front cowling inner panel

Windshield
G
Front cowling upper cover
G
Refer to "GENERAL CHASSIS" on page 4-1.

CLEANING THE V-BELT CASE AIR FILTER
ELEMENT
1. Remove:
Left upper side cover mole
G
Left footrest board
G
Refer to "GENERAL CHASSIS" on page 4-1.
2. Remove:
V-belt case cover 2 "1"
G
V-belt case air filter cover "2"
G

3. Remove:
V-belt case air filter element (left) "1"
G
V-belt case air filter element (right) "2"
G

4. Clean:
V-belt case air filter element
G
Blow the compressed air to the outer surface
of the V-belt case air filter element.

5. Check:
V-belt case air filter element
G
Damage → Replace.

CAUTION:
Since the V-belt case air filter element is a
dry type, do not let grease or water contact it.
6. Install:
V-belt case air filter element
G
V-belt case air filter cover seal
G
V-belt case air filter cover
G
V-belt case air filter cover screw
G
7. Install:
Left footrest board
G
Left upper side cover mole
G
Refer to "GENERAL CHASSIS" on page 4-1.

throttle body joints and intake manifolds.
1. Remove:
Leg shield
