Operations

Confirming the HDMI function

To use the HDMI control functions properly, it is
recommended to confirm the HDMI control functions
usable with each connected component by performing
the following operations.
Preparations
1
Check that this receiver, TV and player, etc. are
connected by HDMI cables.

Check that the HDMI control of TV and the HDMI-
connectable player are enabled.
For details on the setups of TV and player, refer
to their operating instructions.

Set the CEC Control and TV Power Sync. to "ON"
to enable the HDMI control of this receiver.
For details, see "Setting the HDMI Setup" on
page 63.
Confirming the basic HDMI operations

Turn the power on for all the components
connected with HDMI cables.

Switch the TV input to the HDMI input connected
to this receiver.
3
Switch this receiver input to the HDMI input
source.
4
Confirm that its picture is displayed and the sound
is heard from the speakers properly.
Confirming the HDMI control functions

Turn the power on for all the components
connected with HDMI cables.

Turn the TV off to enter the standby mode.
Confirm that all the components are tuned off.
3
With all the components off, start playback on a
player (connected with HDMI cable).

Confirm that all the components are turned on and
the inputs of this receiver and TV are switched
automatically.

Multi-room operation

In addition to your main room, you can also enjoy
playback in two other rooms (ROOM 2 and ROOM 3).

Listening to ROOM 2 source

You can select different sources for main room and
second room (ROOM 2) and play them at the same
time.

ROOM 2 remote control.
