Music Servers

You can listen to music files stored on a computer
(media server) connected to this receiver via a wired/
wireless network.

Start your computer (media server).

Press the CURSOR UP()/DOWN() buttons to
select your computer as a media server, and then
press the ENTER button.

Select the desired category by pressing the
CURSOR UP()/DOWN() buttons, and then
press the ENTER button.

Repeat the above step 3 until the desired music
file is selected.
Configuring the Windows Media Player ver. 11
To play music files stored on your computer, you
should configure the Windows Media Player ver 11.
first.

Run the Windows Media Player ver. 11 on your
computer.

Select "Library" tab in the menu bar, and then
select "Media Sharing".

In the "Media Sharing" dialog box, select the
"Share my media" check box, and then click
"OK".

Select this receiver in the list of devices, and then
click "Allow".

Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
The Windows Media Player ver. 11
configuration has been completed.
You can play the music files in your Windows
Media Player ver. 11 library through this
receiver.
Note
• The Windows Media Player ver. 11 can be downloaded
for free from the Microsoft web site.
• If the firewall restricts access, the Windows Media
Player ver. 11 cannot be configured.
Music Streaming by Smartphone
Smartphone's Music file can be played at R-977 by
using Music Play Application(supported DLNA) on Wi-
Fi or wireless network.
Note
• Check the Wi-Fi or wireless network connection status
of the Smartphone.
• R-977 and Smartphone must have connected to the
same wireless network.

USB

You can listen to music files stored on a USB
memory device.

Connect the USB memory device to the USB
connector on the front panel.

Select the USB by pressing the CURSOR UP()/
DOWN() buttons, and then press the ENTER
button.
