System board and memory board are composed of the following
components:
System board
o
Central processing unit: CPU (80286-12)
The CPU is a 16-bit microprocessor operated at 12 MHz
clock speed.
o
Numeric data processor socket for the 80287-12
(optional) .
o
Real time clock: RTC (MC146818)
The RTC continuously keeps the date and time powered by
lithium battery.
o
Serial input output: SIO (TC8570)
The SIO controls the RS232C port.
o
Variable frequency oscillator: VFO (MB4108A)
The VFO chip is used for FDD control logic.
o
Two super integration: SI (JC810, M5M82C800)
SI (JC810) includes the FDC (TC8565), SIO (TC8570), and
PIT (82C54).
SI (M5M82C800) includes the two DMACs
(82C37), two PICs (82C59) and one PIT (82C54).
o

The following gate arrays are used in the system board.
