9. Serial Port
This option allows you to change the I/O address of a serial port
is automatically established according to its interrupt level,
the SETUP program prompts you to specify only the interrupt
level.
The I/O address of a serial port which is given an
interrupt level of 5, however, must be set to one of the two
pedetermined I/O addresses as shown below.
The relationship between the serial port interrupt levels and I/O
addresses is shown below.

The first setup item in the serial port setup menu sets the I/O
address for the serial port that is to be given an interrupt
level of 5.
The SETUP program displays one of the following
addresses as the possible I/O address:
3E8H
338H
You can select the appropriate ones with the left and right arrow
keys.
The second through fourth items in the serial port setup menu set
the interrupt levels of the serial ports.
When the cursor is positioned on the second serial port setup
menu item, the SETUP program displays the menu shown below.
From
this menu, you can select the interrupt levels to be assigned to
the serial ports.
