Sanding

HINT: The spindle sander rotates in counter clockwise direction.
Make sure the table insert and the sanding sleeve fit together and are securely
tightened by the lock nut.
1. Wear safety equipment such as dust mask and safety goggles and turn on
the dust extraction system.
2. Turn on the spindle sander with the
ON switch (7) and allow the motor to
reach full speed. Feed the workpiece
gradually against the direction of
rotation onto the sanding sleeve. Do
not force the workpiece or apply
excessive pressure. Only feed the
workpiece against the direction of
rotation otherwise the workpiece could
be forced away from the rotating
sanding sleeve and thrown sidewise.
3. After work, switch off the spindle sander with the OFF switch (8) and pull
the power cable from the wall socket.
Hints:
The workpiece may become very hot during sanding. Therefore, allow the
workpiece to cool down while sufficiently.
Do not use damaged rubber drums or a completely worn sanding sleeve. This
can lead to excessive heat build up and damage the rubber drum.
Do not sand metal workpieces with the spindle sander. Sanding metal will
cause sparks that may ignite wood and dust particles on the spindle sander or
around the working area.
