Please note the included General Safety Notes and the following
safety notes to avoid malfunctions, damage or physical injury:
 Make sure the voltage corresponds to the type label on the machine.
 Thoroughly read and follow all safety warnings below and on the spindle
sander.
 The spindle sander is intended for shaping and finish sanding of interior
and exterior edges of wooden workpieces. Never use the spindle sander
for wet sanding.
 Do not use damaged tools (table insert, sanding sleeve, rubber drum,
washers).
 Use a dust connection system when possible.
 Wear personal protective equipment. Always wear safety goggles
to protect your eyes when using the spindle sander. Take precau-
tions when sanding painted surfaces. Do not sand lead-based
paint. The contaminated dust could cause lead poisoning. When
sanding paint protect your lungs and wear a dust mask or respira-
tor. Do not allow unauthorized peoples to stay close to the working
area.
 Do not eat, drink or smoke while painted surfaces are sanded.
 Wear suitable clothing when using the spindle sander. Tight clothing will
not get caught in moving parts easily.
 Make sure the tools fit precisely onto the spindle. Tools which do not
precisely fit onto the spindle will turn irregularly, vibrate and can cause loss
of control.
 Keep the power cable away from rotating parts.
 Do not use the spindle sander close to combustible materials.
 Before operating the spindle sander, make sure all parts are correctly
assembled.
 Check the condition of the spindle sander. If any part is missing, bent, or
does not operate properly, replace the part before using the sander.
 Secure the workpiece. Support the workpiece securely on the table, and
hold it with both hands.
 Please note the feed direction. Feed the workpiece gradually against the
direction of rotation, onto the sanding sleeve.
