Attaching the Sanding Belt

Always remove the power plug from the mains before removing or replacing
the sanding belt!
Only use 75 mm x 533 mm sized sanding belts.
1. First pull the sanding belt tension lever (C) up out of its recess and rotate it
outwards completely, until it comes up against its stop.
2. Next, place the sanding belt over the two belt rollers, making sure that the
arrow printed on the inside of the sanding belt corresponds with the direc-
tion of the arrow marked on the machine housing (D).
3. Adjust the sanding belt so that it sits evenly over both rollers. Ensure it is
correctly centred.
4. To tension the sanding belt for use, rotate the belt tension lever (C) back
into the recess inside the sander, between the rollers.
5. To switch on the machine, connect the power plug to mains power and
push the ON/OFF Trigger (E).
6. If the sanding belt does not run true, use the fine adjustment knob (H) to
adjust the belt, so that it is correctly aligned. The sanding belt must lie
flush with and be firmly tensioned across the sanding plate. It should not
hang below it. If this occurs, a belt with the wrong dimensions may have
been used.
Assembling/Disassembling/Emptying the Dust Collection Bag
Always use the dust collection bag (J) and if possible supplementary dust
suction devices, particularly when sanding painted surfaces.
1. Grip both beads on the hose clamp, located
immediately behind the dust collection bag
exhaust outlet, and squeeze these gently to-
gether.
2. Then place the dust collection bag onto the
matching exhaust outlet (I) and release the
clamp. The clamp should fit snugly into the
groove and grip the dust collection bag all the
way around the bag.
3. To disassemble the dust collection bag, push the beads together again
and remove the dust collection bag.
4. Open the zipper on the dust collection bag to empty.
