The rear panel for the Italy version
differs slightly from that shown here,
however connections are basically
the same.

q NMEA CABLE (from the UX-120)*
Allows you to connect an NMEA de-
vice, such as a GPS receiver, to the
IC-M59
.

Acceptable command: GGA
Acceptable format: NMEA0183 ver. 1.5,
2.0 or 2.1
w RC-18 DISTRESS SWITCH BOX
(optional)*
Allows you to make DSC distress
calls when the optional UX-120
is installed.

the screw.
Attach the supplied rub-
ber cap after tightening
the screw.
