DIGITAL SELECTIVE CALLING

All ships call transmission

Large ships use channel 70 as their "listening channel." When
you want to announce a message to these ships, use the "all
ships call" function.
Rotate [SQUELCH] clockwise until the audio noise disap-
pears.
Push and hold [
select a category:
• URG (urgency) ... Used for urgent announcements (Use for gen-
• SAF (safety) ....... Used for sending safety information.
• dTR (distress) ..... Used for specifying a Narrow Band Direct

transmitted.
