The CrownNet for Ethernet interface has an RJ-45 adapter
with 10/100BaseTX capabilities to transport data from the net-
work to the printer. Companies that have migrated to a Fast
Ethernet (100 Mbps) network will find the printer ready for
immediate installation. The same holds true for businesses
currently using a traditional 10 Mbps network.
The PagePro 9100's CrownNet for Ethernet interface simulta-
neously supports NetWare IPX/SPX; IPP; TCP/IP; AppleTalk
(EtherTalk); OS/2 LAN Manager/LAN Server
(NetBEUI/NetBIOS); and Windows 95, 98, Me, NT, 2000, and
XP (NetBEUI/NetBIOS) protocols.
The PagePro 9100 N includes Internet Printing Protocol
(IPP) support. This feature allows the user to print
remotely to the printer through the Internet and Intranets.
Users submit a print request by using a command in the
browser address line beginning with "ipp://," then the
printer's address, rather than "http://." Users can also
inquire about the PagePro 9100's capabilities and print
job status.
