A hard disk is recommended when using the PDF emulation,
specifically with larger files. Customers can print any version
of PDF file from the PDF reader application.
Another HP printer language resident on the PagePro
9100 N is HP-GL 7475A/7550/DraftMaster. Commonly
associated with the HP plotter series, this emulation allows
the printing of pen plotter files, including "C" and "D"-size
plots, scaled to fit on cut sheet paper for easier handling
and storage. The emulation supports 600 dpi and includes
40 printer-resident fonts.
The last resident emulation found on the PagePro 9100 N is
line printer. This language allows line printer data to print
with definable page margins, line spacing, line termination,
default fonts, orientation, and lines per page. It includes
ASCII, EBCDIC, PC US ASCII, and PC Multilingual char-
acter encodings.

For organizations with specialized printing applications,
the PagePro 9100 N offers three optional languages. These
emulations require an internal hard disk for operation.
Users can add ImageServer
9100 N for monochrome, 300 dpi printing of compressed
image files. ImageServer software supports a number of
image file formats including bi-tonal TIFF, CCITT Group 4,
and CALS Raster.
For direct printing of ATA and CALS CGM file formats, the
PagePro 9100 N can be equipped with the CGM (Computer
Graphics Metafile) emulation. It aids in printing complex
monochrome CGM graphics files, generating output at
optimal speeds.
