Setting Rear Shock Compression
Damping
1.
For all Lightning XB models except the Long XB12Ss,
remove the seat. See

Using a screwdriver, turn the slotted dial clockwise until it
stops. This is the maximum compression damping set-
ting.
NOTE
See
Figure 1-35.
For the Lightning Long XB12Ss, the
rear shock compression damping adjustor screw is
accessible through the opening in the right side tail sec-
tion.

Figure 1-34.
For all other XB models, the rear shock
compression damping adjuster screw is found under the
seat.

Then turn the dial counterclockwise the recommended
amount specified in
Table
13.

WARNING
After installing seat, pull upward on front of seat to be
sure it is in locked position. While riding, a loose seat can
shift causing loss of control, which could result in death
or serious injury. (00070a)
