Transmission Lubricant
Change the transmission lubricant at the scheduled intervals. The
transmission should always be warm when the lubricant is changed
so it will drain easily and completely.

HYDRAULIC BRAKES

Be sure to inspect the hydraulic brake system before each use.
Always maintain brakes according to the maintenance schedule in
the service booklet.
Brake Fluid
Check the brake fl uid level in the hand brake fl uid reservoirs. If the
level in the reservoirs is below the lower mark in the sight glass,
add DOT 4 brake fl uid. Check the brake fl uid level in the foot brake
reservoir.

1. Park the ATV on level ground.
2. Remove the fi ll plug. Be careful
not to allow contaminates to
enter the opening.
3. Remove the drain plug and
drain the lubricant into a drain
pan.
4. Install the drain plug and tighten
to 3.0 kg-m (22 ft-lb).
5. Pour 300 ml of recommended
lubricant into the fi ll plug hole;
then install the fi ll plug and
tighten securely.
6. Start the engine and drive the
ATV to warm up the trans-
mission; then check for any leaks
around the drain and fi ll plugs.
! WARNING
If the level in the reservoir is below
the LOWER mark, add DOT 4
brake fl uid.
