2. Drain the oil into a drain pan by
removing in turn the drain plug
from each.
3. After all the oil has been
drained, install the drain plugs
and tighten securely.
CAUTION
Inspect the oil for any signs of
metal filings or water. If found, take
the ATV to an authorized Arctic Cat
ATV dealer for servicing.
4. Pour recommended oil into each
filler hole.
NOTE: If the gear case has a
level plug, fill to the threads of the
level plug. If the gear case has
only a fill plug, fill to within 1 in. of the threads of the fill plug.
NOTE: Arctic Cat recommends the use of genuine Arctic
Cat lubricants.
5. Install the filler plugs and level plugs.

! WARNING
Be sure to inspect the hydraulic brake system before each use.
Always maintain brakes according to the Maintenance Schedule.
Brake Fluid
Check the brake fluid level in the
brake fluid reservoir. If the level in
the reservoir is not visible in the
sight glass, add DOT 4 brake fluid.
NOTE: If the sight glass win-
dows appear dark, there is a
CF107B
sufficient amount of fluid in
the reservoir.
Be careful not to spill any fluid when filling the brake fluid res-
ervoir. Wipe away spilled fluid immediately.
Brake Lever Lock (Right Hand Brake)
Check to make sure the brake lever lock engages properly and that the

brake (when engaged) locks the front wheels.
1. Pump the brake lever 2 or 3
times.
2. Engage the brake lever lock.
3. Attempt to push the ATV.
NOTE: The brake lever lock
must lock the wheels. If it
doesn't, take the ATV to an
authorized

dealer for service.
