Fault Finding

The following alarms are reported at a connected ASL Router.

LAN fault
DVA fault
DC1 power supply fault. Only
for VIPET-PSU-24V.
DC2 power supply fault. Only
for VIPET-PSU-24V.

Check the network cabling.
Check the DC1 power supply.
Check the DC2 power supply.
The
Check the ambient temperature in the
equipment room.
Clear the alarm by pressing the ASL Router
"FAULT CLEAR" button.
Check if VIPET "SYSTEM FAULT" LED still

indicates a fault.

communication between VIPET and ASL

If there is no communication failure, report
the fault to ASL.

Check the cabling to the Remote I/O unit.
Check the RS485 termination.
Check that the address of the Remote I/O
unit is correct.
If all above is OK, check the unit's internal
CPU and COMMS LED.

Check the audio and power supply cabling
between the microphone and VIPET.
Check continuity of microphone capsule or
any associated wiring.
