Fault Finding

The following alarms are reported at a connected ASL Router.

LAN fault
DVA fault
DC1 power supply fault. Only
for VIPET-PSU-24V.
DC2 power supply fault. Only
for VIPET-PSU-24V.
Over temperature.

Check the network cabling.
Check the DC1 power supply.
Check the DC2 power supply.
The Check the ambient temperature in the
equipment room.
Clear the alarm by pressing the ASL Router
"FAULT CLEAR" button.
Check if VIPET "SYSTEM FAULT" LED still
failure
indicates a fault.
If the
communication between VIPET and ASL

If there is no communication failure, report
the fault to ASL.
failure Check the cabling to the Remote I/O unit.
Check the RS485 termination.
Check that the address of the Remote I/O
unit is correct.
If all above is OK, check the unit's internal
CPU and COMMS LED.

selector on the specified analogue channel.
Check the load connection on the specified
digital channel.
Check the audio and power supply cabling
between the microphone and VIPET.
Check continuity of microphone capsule or
any associated wiring.
failure Check the data and power supply cabling
