Although each port can be individually configured for RS232/422/485 by setting DIP switches inside the unit,
the unit is supplied configured for RS485. This configuration should not be changed as the VIPET is
configured for RS485 operation only.

Once VIPET-SERIAL-4 is set-up it cannot be connected to a different USB port on the VIPET rear panel.
