Connecting the server to the mains
The server has two hot-plug power supply units. This ensures redundant power
supply. If one power supply unit is defective, the other then guarantees
unimpaired operation. Each hot-plug power supply unit can be replaced during
operation (see
"Replacing the hot-plug power supply unit" on page
V
CAUTION!
The server is automatically set to a mains voltage in the range 110 V -
240 V. Make sure that your local mains voltage is within this range.

Ê Connect the insulated connectors of the power cables to the server's two
power supply units (1).
Ê Connect the power plugs to the insulated sockets of the mains socket strip
in the rack (2).

A phase redundancy in the power supply of the server can be set up as
two hot-plug power supply units are installed.
In this case, each of the power supply units is either connected to two
different phases or to two separate circuits of the internal power supply
network.
