Lint and paper dust will tend to build up on the feeders tires
with use. Clean the tires as needed: when it is glazed or has
yellowish residue. Use alcohol to dampen a soft cotton cloth
or plastic scouring pad to clean all rubber tires.
The tires or sections of the tires will wear down differently
depending on the variety of media used and where the areas of
heavy use are. If cleaning the tires is ineffective in helping to
feed the media into the printer, then reference the replacement
procedures for the worn Tires on the Upper or Lower Feed
Roller Shaft Assembly. (See Replacing the Tires on the Feeder
Assembly)
1. Lift the Feeder Assembly to unhook it from the
printer. Pull the Feeder Assembly away from the
printer.
2. Disconnect the Feeder Information Cable Assembly
from the Printer.
3. Remove the Quick Release Pin from the Feeder
Assembly to disconnect the Feed Ramp Assembly
from the Floor. Lower the Feed Ramp out of the way.
4. Push the Latch up to raise the Separator H-Block to the
uppermost position and secure in place.
5. Pull the Sliding Fences wide open on the Feeder
printer.
