4. INSTALLATION

CAUTION
When installing this unit, connect the grounding wire to the grounding terminal
properly. If unit trouble or current leakage occurs, electrical shock may result.
Do not install this unit in places where its screen is exposed to direct sunlight for a
long time or where the ambient temperature oversteps the range from -10 to +55
degrees C. Otherwise, fire and/or unit trouble may result.
Do not place this unit on an unstable table or desk or in an inclined place. If the unit
drops or falls, personal injury may result.
Route the transducer cable, power cable, and grounding wire of this unit very
carefully so as not to allow the unit to be affected by electromagnetic interference.
Inadequate cabling or wiring could damage external equipment or affect the unit
itself through external equipment.
After installing the fishfinder, turn on the power of all other units and make sure that
each unit operates properly without trouble. In case of malfunction, trouble may
result.
Do not expose this unit to water. Otherwise, fire, electrical shock, and/or unit
trouble may result.
To store this unit into a waterproof box, provide the waterproof box with air vent
holes for adequate ventilation. The unit will malfunction if the rear panel becomes
too hot.
Do not install this unit near acoustic speakers or power transformers. Installation
near these units may cause color disturbances in the screen display of water depths
or alarms, thus resulting in accidents.
