Adjusting the sensitivity obtained near the water level (SHORT STC)
The video obtained immediately after signal transmission has been
started will have a red tail, because the surface-layer water usually is
very dirty. To improve such video quality, the sensitivity obtained near
the water level (about one meter in water depth) must be adjusted
properly using the "SHORT STC" function of the menu.
Specify the "SHORT STC" correction value as follows:

This function is effective for the CFT-2505KD transducer.
Use the STC control (semi-fixed type) on the operations panel to
adjust the STC level. See page 14 for details.
Specify the appropriate value in "STC MODE" to activate the STC
function in a deeper range. See page 48 for further details.
Outline of the procedure: Proceed from the FISH FINDER
SETTING menu to "STC MODE" (50 to 200 m).
