Base Unit CPU Card

Note: Refer to "Handling Static-Sensitive Devices" on page 4-2 before removing or
installing the CPU card in this system.
Removal
1. Remove the front cover following the procedure on page 4-3.
2. Remove the side cover following the procedure on page 4-6.
3. Put the system unit in horizontal position with the right side down.
4. Disconnect the SCSI cable from the SCSI controller.
5. Remove the CPU/Memory card retainers using the procedure on page 4-22.
6. Make a note of the CPU card position.
7. Unplug the CPU card from the system planar. (There are card extractors which must be
used to pull out the card. The extractors are located on the inside of the front cover.
Insert the extractors in the holes placed at the edges of the card.)
