Focus and center the condenser.
Refer to "11. Adjustment of Condenser Position" in
the separate Reference manual.

Switch to the desired objective
and view the specimen.
Adjust the field diaphragm and
aperture diaphragm each time
you change objectives.
Field diaphragm:
Set slightly narrower than the margins of
the field of view.
Aperture diaphragm:
70% to 80% of the maximum numerical
aperture (N.A.) of the objective

Turn off power after completing
observations.

Eyepiece field of view

Focus the condenser using
the condenser focus knob.
Field diaphragm
Eyepiece field of view
Select the desired objective.
Aperture diaphragm

Center the condenser
using the condenser
centering screws.

Press the power switch
to the "◯" position.
