MAIN COMPONENTS OF SPRAYER Your sprayer may be equipped with Jacto VAR or Masterflow control valve. Identify it in the drawings below and proceed as directed. V.A.R. CONTROL VALVE (CONDOR: M-12/75 / S-12/75 / EM/75 / S-EM/75 / 800 B-12/75 / BX- 12-75) This is a two-stage pressure regulator that provides greater sensibility in the calibrations. -

MAIN COMPONENTS OF SPRAYER AGS SINGLE NOZZLE HOLDER CONDOR: M-12/75 / S-12/75 / 800 B-12/75 / BX-12/75 / BX-12/75 MF The AGS single nozzle holder AGS is mounted with a ceramic cone nozzle (M-12/75 / S-12/75 / 800 B-12/75) or stainless steel cone nozzle (BX-12/75 / BX-12/75 MF). SETTING UP TRACTOR ADJUSTING PARTS TO HITCH TO THE TRACTOR'S THREE-POINT SUSPENSION ATTENTION: The instruction below is an example of what should be done for properly hitching the sprayer to the tractor's three-point suspension. Install the stabilizing rope and level the booms through the chain to be fastened to the frame (detail A). OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENTS SPRAY APPLICATION TECHNOLOGY A successful spray application does not depend only on a good sprayer or correct use of the chemicals but also on factors to be determined in the field under specialized orientation. Among these factors, some concepts should be part of a criterion of evaluation so that positive results may be attained within the pest control program. -

OPERATIONS AND ADJUSTMENTS V.A.R. CONTROL VALVE CONDOR: M-12/75 / S-12/75 / 800 B-12/75 / EM/75 / S-EM/75 / BX-12/75 This is a two-stage pressure regulator which provides great sensitiveness in the calibrations. The first stage is for calibration from 0.7 to 4.2 kg/cm² (10 to 60 psi), normally used for spraying herbicides. - Page 29 OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENTS PRESSURE REGULATOR MASTERLOW CONTROL VALVE (CONDOR BX-12/75 MF / PJ-600 BX-10 MF) This pressure regulator provides great sensitiviness and precision to the calibrations. It has two basic functional characteristics in relation to the conventional control valves. 1. FLOW RATE PROPORTIONAL TO TRAVEL The spray volume per area sprayed remains constant even if the tractor speed fluctuates in a same gear.
- Page 30 OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENTS MASTERFLOW CONTROL VALVE To calibrate each boom section, proceed as follows: 01.Run the sprayer and open the flow to all boom sections. 02.Set the relief lever (1) to the P (pressure) position. 03.Set the levers (2), (3), (4) and (5) to point downward. 04.Check the pressure indicated by the pressure gauge.

Metal, plastic and glass containers must be rinsed for decontamination. To facilitate this important operation , Jacto has installed on its trailed sprayers a suitable device that rinses internally the containers with pressurized water, eliminating most of the residues. -

PROBLEMS - CAUSES - CORRECTIONS Whenever Jacto sprayers equipped with piston pumps present problems, try to classifiy them in one of the following four groups. a) LACK OF SUCTION AND PUMPING CAPACITY No liquid flow through the nozzles. - Page 50 MAINTENANCE TROUBLE-SHOOTING a - LACK OF SUCTION AND PUMPING CAPACITY PROBABLE CAUSES CORRECTIONS The sprayer should be run with 540 rpm at PTO.
